About Us

The Macarthur Performing Arts Society is a group of volunteers dedicated to furthering the performing arts in the Macarthur region. To this end, MACPAS has been involved in organising and running the Macarthur District Eisteddfod. Our renewed emphasis in the last few years has been on School and Community groups in the Choir and Band categories. Also included in our Eisteddfod programme, are Drama Sports and Ensembles with 2011 seeing the inclusion of Creative Writing as a new category to complement the Own Composition Section with a literary component.

All of this is achieved through the ongoing generous financial support of our major sponsors Monarch Investment Group of Companies providing us with the funds to offer substantial prize monies across all the different sections of our Eisteddfod.
